Languages
SayMyName models each language version of a name as a distinct playable pronunciation, not as one name with a cosmetic language badge.
Supported language set
The current web and iOS surfaces share the same canonical language catalog for UI labels, locale metadata, and name variants.
- English (en-US)
- Chinese (zh-CN)
- Japanese (ja-JP)
- Korean (ko-KR)
- Spanish (es-ES)
- French (fr-FR)
- German (de-DE)
- Portuguese (pt-BR)
- Arabic (ar-SA)
- Hindi (hi-IN)
Why language variants matter
A person can have a romanized name, a native-script name, and an anglicized pronunciation that are all legitimate but audibly different.
- Each language variant keeps its own text and script.
- Each variant gets its own play action.
- Provider source and AI/human status can differ per variant.
